PALMA
Day 1 – Embark in the cosmopolitan capital of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands in Spain – Palma. With it’s stunning Gothic cathedral, Almudaina Palace, Lonja fish market, Plaza mayor, twisting cobbled streets of the old town and plethora of Michelin starred restaurants or waterfront bars.
To Port Andratx, Mallorca 36NM.
PORT ANDRATX
Day 2 – This picturesque fishing village also manages to be one of Mallorca’s classiest resorts. Popular with the yachting fraternity and with the rich and famous, whose villas can be seen climbing up the hillsides, it also has a working fishing industry that supplies (amongst others), the port’s restaurants. The harbour is one of the prettiest in Mallorca and a table at one of the many excellent waterside bars and restaurants is the perfect place for sundowners. The historical village of Andratx itself, surrounded by orange groves and almond trees is 5 km away, at the top of the valley. Yachts can anchor in the bay or take a berth in the Yacht Club.
To Cala Xarraca, Ibiza 49NM.
CALA XARRACA
Day 3 – The picturesque bay boasts crystal clear water and a small beach – you’ll feel as though you’ve stumbled onto your very own private patch of Ibiza. Surrounded by lush, green forest areas and rocky pathways, you’ll also find natural mud baths in the area.
To Es Vedra, Ibiza 24NM.
ES VEDRA
Day 4 – Cruise along the southern coastline of Ibiza and anchor for lunch under the rock island of Es Vedra. Standing at almost 400 metres high, this uninhabited rock island stood in for the volcanic island Bali Hai in the 1958 Hollywood film, South Pacific. Thought to be the third most magnetic place on the globe, after the North Pole and the Bermuda Triangle, Es Vedra is shrouded in myth and legend. Let the rock work its wonders as you snorkel around the base marvelling at the even more magical and present underwater world, before heading ashore for paella at Es Boldado.
To Playa de Illetes, Formentera 13,6NM.
FORMENTERA
Day 4 – the off-lying island of Formentera – this stunning spit of land is a beach lover’s paradise, with its perfect white sands and crystal clear waters that appear turquoise to the eye. This blissful retreat is renowned for its healing properties, and celebrities from Jimi Hendrix, to Madonna to Leonardo di Caprio have all fallen under its magical spell. Take a mud bath in the hot spring on the adjacent island of Espalmador or dance barefoot in the sand at one on the many beach clubs open day and night.
To Marina Ibiza 18,5NM.
IBIZA TOWN
Day 5&6 – Stroll through the ancient whitewashed streets of Ibiza Old Town and soak up the atmosphere in one of the many plazas, where tapas and wine go hand in hand with people watching. Shopping for local artisan crafts and clothing is the perfect way to spend the afternoon or head to one of the many white sand beaches in the area, before enjoying sunset drinks in the harbour. Ibiza is renowned for its vibrant nightlife, where you can dance the night away, but, contrary to popular belief, it is not just about clubbing. There are a vast array of sophisticated bars and restaurants in the Old Town where locals rub shoulders with the rich and famous. To Palma, Mallorca 70NM.
PALMA
Day 7 – Disembark in the next morning, we suggest to visit Palma, which is rich in culture, entertainment and gastronomy. Being relatively compact makes it an attractive and viable option for visitors short on time. Explore the historic streets on foot and excite your senses in this vibrant capital. The picturesque neighbourhood of Santa Catalina is the perfect spot to begin a whirlwind tour of Palma. From Santa Catalina, it’s a five-minute stroll to Es Baluard Museum of Modern and Contemorary Art where you’ll find works by major artists including Picasso and Miró. It’s well worth climbing the stairs up to the decked terrace beside the museum for a spectacular view of the 800-year-old Cathedral La Seu. Eventually time for tapas. The wonderful thing about dining on tapas is that you can try out lots of different restaurants, not to mention countless flavours, in one evening.
