Activity on the land – there are, five new rock climbing routes have been established on the rocks around the harbour. Make sure to bring your own equipment.
Tavernas offer the salads which all come with delicious capers – the cliffs are full of them, and it is no coincidence that the island is also called Kappari (the Greek word for “caper”).

LEIPSOI / LIPSI

PATMOS

Day 4 – Patmos island, which is also known as the “Island of the apocalypse”, has a strong spiritual character. But it is also one of the most beautiful Greek islands to visit. According to the tradition, Saint John the Divine was inspired to write the Book of the Apocalypse inside a cave in Patmos Greece. Today, the so-called “Cave of the Apocalypse” is one of the island’s main attractions. There’s also a large monastery dedicated to Saint John above Chora, the island’s capital. Thousands of pilgrims come to Patmos island every year to visit these two religious monuments.
To Lakki, Leros 21NM.

LEROS

Day 5 – Leros is a mythical island. According to the myth, Leros island was where the ancient Greek goddess of hunting, Artemis, used to go for hunting, thanks to the island’s large deer population.
But Leros doesn’t only have a mythological past, but also a historical one. Leros’ enduring history is reflected in monuments such as the impressive Medieval castle and hides inside the island’s museums. Leros island has some picturesque little villages worth visiting! Agia Marina with its characteristic flour mill, Pandeli with its medieval fortress, Lakki with its neoclassical architecture and Alinda with its relaxing atmosphere will make you feel as if you’re worlds away from the modern civilization.

KALYMNOS

Day 6 – The island stands out for its amazing rocking landscape that has made Kalymnos a top climbing destination! Climbing in Kalymnos is such a popular activity that a climbing festival takes place on the island every year. Kalymnos also has a long sponge making tradition. Even though the islanders don’t fish sponges for living anymore, you’ll find many sponge sellers at the beachfront of Porthia, the island’s capital.
As to be expected, there are numerous churches and chapels dotted all over the island. Ag. Savvas is thejewel in the crown as far as churches go. Overlooking Pothia high up on the hill, the illuminated cross at night looks like a beacon offering safe haven for shipping at night.
To Kos 17NM.

KOS

Other sights worth visiting in Kos are its churches, Neratzia medieval castle, the ancient Greek Agora, and Antimachia Castle. One of the best things to do in Kos is cycling.
